Access to Sunport Takamatsu
Since the building of Takamatsu Castle, one of Japan's three largest water castles, Takamatsu, the prefectural capital of Kagawa, has prospered as a castle town which faces the Seto Island Sea. With the start of service of the ferry connecting Shikoku and Honshu in 1910, Takamatsu has blossomed as the "Gateway to Shikoku." Located on the waterfront near JR Takamatsu Station, Sunport Takamatsu had its grand opening in 2004 towards the creation of a comfortable and attractive urban environment with the introduction of state-of-the-art urban, business, and convention functions.

Right upon arrival at JR Takamatsu Station is an optimal environment for the organization of international conferences and conventions set on the stage of the Seto Inland Sea with the development of Takamatsu Port overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, which has become a nodal hub for land and sea transportation, as well as the integration of urban functions, including the Symbol Tower, hotels, and national government buildings.
